We’re looking for a brilliant Marketing Manager to join our team and drive forward our broad range of marketing activities including: creating B2B campaigns to acquire new commercial partners, driving attendance of our famous festivals through awesome content, keeping our community informed through newsletters and social media posts, creating web pages to showcase how we support the Bristol & Bath tech cluster and more.
Job Role
Our online presence is the centre of everything we do at techSPARK. We act as the glue that helps stick together the tech sector and it’s how we make sure that people know about all the amazing jobs, events and news happening in the area as well as what partnering with techSPARK can mean for them.
This job is all about making that happen, it will be focussed on developing campaigns and leading our Creative Marketer to produce content that drives action to our audience and beyond. We’re a small business working with some of the best and most exciting companies in the UK and we want our team members to reflect that. We need people to work with us who are enthusiastic, inquisitive, outgoing, flexible and keen to work with our amazing tech cluster.
The role will require you to:
- Plan, create (Canva), schedule (HubSpot) and deliver our content plan alongside our Creative Marketer. This includes written articles, images and video that would be shared via our website (Wordpress), social channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook) and newsletters (HubSpot)
- Lead, support and mentor our Creative Marketer to both deliver towards our marketing objectives and to ensure their personal development and growth
- Own and update our website using Wordpress
- Create, deliver and monitor B2B lead generation campaigns to drive leads for the partnerships team
- Report on campaign effectiveness alongside Creative Marketer
- Deliver multi-channel campaigns to promote our festivals, events and reports
- Engage with our community to share knowledge and the latest stories as well as conducting interviews with them to create content to share
- Create segmented marketing campaigns to retain and grow existing partners and acquire new ones
Essential Experience
2 years+ in a marketing role
- Competent levels of copywriting
- Content Planning and Scheduling
- Line management experience - we’re looking for someone who can lead and mentor
- Wordpress or similar CMS
- HubSpot or similar CRM
- Canva
- Social Media Platforms (Linkedin, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook)

This role is in person in our Bristol office, with some expectation of work over evenings and weekends due to our event schedule, as a small not for profit we are currently unable to accept applications from candidates requiring visa sponsorship
