Job title: Field Service Engineer (Radar)
Location: Portsmouth – with regular travel
Salary:£42,500 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Adhering with legislation and company policy
- Providing mobile support for Radar systems and associated equipment in the UK and overseas as required
- Answering technical questions and queries
- Raising risk assessments and method statements to cover work
- Working as part of a team requiring limited technical supervision
- Understanding and applying a range of fundamental design processes, tools, systems and techniques
- Communicating with internal and external Customers and with other functions
Your skills and experiences:
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Identification and evaluation of solutions to engineering problems
- A good understanding of Engineering processes
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships internally and externally
- Resilience to withstand pressured situations and continue to work objectively

The Radar Naval team:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will work within the Radar Support team to provide Radar field support for Type 45 Destroyers, Type 23 Frigates, Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and future platforms, as well as the possibility of engineering support for international projects, submarine support, and providing field support for land-based Radar systems in the UK and overseas. Additionally, you may support the Field Operations Team Leader in day-to-day activities.
