About The Role
RAC on behalf of Renault UK are on the lookout for an extremely talented and technically minded individual to join the ranks of their prestigious team of “Flying Doctors” as a Technical Assessor!
You will be an expert technical point of contact for the Renault repair network supporting service centres by remotely diagnosing complex faults and advising on the repair process.
You’ll be helping us improve the brand experience for all customers and increasing the prospects of achieving brand and dealer recommendation!
What you’ll do...
- Be responsible for delivering across 4 key areas of the business to build upon relationships with Network aftersales and management teams
- Monitor and be accountable for efficient productive time spent on each allocated job
- Aid in the development of the Centre network in supporting the customer ownership of Brand vehicles through effective promotion, coaching and knowledge share
- Assist in wider technical support topics and provide guidance to Renault network where appropriate as part of the Service Quality team
- Resolve, support and report on customer and network technical issues
- Provide technical diagnostic assistance to Renault Dealer Network and affiliated partners
- Monitor the approval process to control replacement of high-cost components
- Follow up all outstanding technical cases to ensure 100% resolution
- Identify and report issues of a safety, commercial repercussive nature to Incidentology
- Support Renault NT Customer engagement with technical visits
- Produce and cascade relevant information to the network to assist in diagnosis and repair
- Assist Repair Quality Manager managing network TRT dispersion
- Subject Matter Expert relating to specific automotive areas & new products
- Provide written evidence of repairs carried out, in line with Renault Warranty guidelines
- Provide the necessary supporting documents e.g. photographs, vehicle analysis logs, print outs etc. to support all repairs
- Provide feedback on repair methods, technical information, and vehicle quality in relation to repairs completed
- Keep technical knowledge and qualification status up to date to stay compliant
- Attend technical update meetings and provide technical information upon request to improve customer experience and Renault technical function
What you’ll need...
- Qualified Master Technician (Preferred)
- Technical Experience (Group Renault preferred)
- Sound analytical and problem solving with skills with good interpretation and application of complex information to lead decision making
- Self-motivated, flexible and ability to deal with conflicting demands
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation internally and externally; ability to work transversally and autonomously
