JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

This role is responsible for Leading and managing critical aspects of Typhoon Technical Support Service (TTSS) related to data integrity and management. Primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the Maintenix Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) and other related systems.
Support the Technical Services Manager by overseeing data policies, assessing data change requests, and resolving data queries. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high data standards and support the depth maintenance program. You will lead the implementation and maintenance of stringent data policies to ensure the integrity and reliability of fleet management data.
Supporting the integration and continuous improvement of TTSS data activities, ensuring compliance with continuing Airworthiness (CA) requirements and Approved Data requirements. Developing solutions to enhance TTSS business operations, manage change within the CA environment, and facilitate effective communication with customers, suppliers, and In Kingdom Industry Participation companies.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the Maintenix IMS and other related systems, supporting the depth maintenance program and satisfying data analysis requirements.
- Assess and manage Data Change Requests (DCR) and any corresponding changes in IMS or Engineering Sub System (ESS) to sustain Typhoon Reference Data throughout its lifecycle.
- Test and validate reference and business data changes before their implementation into the live IMS Maintenix system.
- Resolve reference data queries, define amendments, and issue new data, authorising manual or automatic script file changes as needed.
- Assess and compare data integrity relating to aircraft and component life data stored in separate sources, including ESS, Technical Publications, and IMS Maintenix.
- Analyse Technical Specialist Reports and data provided by the In-Service Data Management Team to identify adverse trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain local processes and procedures related to ESS Data Integrity.
- Establish and maintain effective communication between the UK-based In-Service Support Team (ISST), In-Kingdom Industry Participation (IKIP), Typhoon Design Support Team, Typhoon Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), European Industry via the BTSC at Warton, and the RSAF.
- Ensure that Technical Requests (TR) and other discrete tasks are satisfied within contracted KPMs.
- Prepare inputs to monthly and other TTSS performance reports, summarising TR activities, recording TR performance, and proposing potential improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Typhoon IMS and ESS, providing technical advice to AMO, RSAF, and other TTSS stakeholders within approved data.
- Support TTSS data analysis, including from the In-Service Data Management Team, to identify trends in maintenance or operations and propose potential improvements.
- Provide structured on-the-job training, coaching, advice, and mentoring for RSAF and Saudi National Technical Specialists as required.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Have extensive proven experience in a Military aircraft Part M/145 environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training, maintenance-related) role.
- Minimum ONC in a relevant technical discipline, or Part 66 Category C qualified, or National civilian / military equivalent and successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
- Practitioner level of knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness and the aircraft maintenance environment.
- Practitioner level of knowledge of the Typhoon air system including relevant type or equipment specific training (for example ‘Q’ Course
- Able to describe or demonstrate a Familiar level of knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness and the aircraft types managed, and a Practitioner level of knowledge of the aircraft maintenance environment.
- Have a Practitioner level of skills in Technical Instructions management, aircraft modifications management, Technical Services skills and the management of CA Records.
Desirable
- A detailed understanding of Typhoon Engineering Support System and TrilogiView.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Management.
- Should be able to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.
- Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
