Salary:£42,000-£45,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage all aspects of Project Accounting for numerous programs, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Complete system entries in SAP and Finance forecasting tool (BPC) to reflect accurate program performance in management and statutory reporting
- Work closely with other functions to ensure program costs, risks, and Estimate to Complete data are accurately reflected in reporting
- Set annual budgets and work with the Program Management team to monitor performance
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the program Contract Status Reports, including relevant comments to aid management’s understanding of movements and variances to budget
- Support the capture of accurate Program Risks & Opportunities for consolidation at the business level
- Support accurate and timely invoicing on relevant programs
- Support business improvement activities within the function and throughout the wider business
- Support compliance with Financial Control Frameworks
Your skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Part qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), ideally looking to qualify in the next 18 months
- Experience in project accounting within a similar industry
- Advanced Excel skills required, experience of using SAP would be desirable

Manufacturing and Small Boats team:
As a Project Accountant you will be reporting to the Project Accounting Manager for Manufacturing and Small Boats at the Hillend site. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of Project Accounting for numerous programmes, and working cross-functionally with other teams to ensure accurate reporting
