What you’ll be doing:
- Drive the seamless integration of all Maintenance & In-Service Support solutions into the broader Air Sector digital architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide goals and operational excellence
- Lead the approval and governance of critical architectural elements, including business requirements, solution designs, and test and acceptance criteria, to guarantee solutions are robust, scalable, and strategically aligned
- Shape and influence the Air Sector’s solution strategy and roadmap, collaborating closely with strategic vendors, key functional areas (e.g. Support & Services, Engineering, Procurement), architectural peers, and the Head of the Maintenance & Support Competency Centre
- Support the Chief Digital Architect, Sector Domain Architects, and Architecture Management Office in defining, developing, and enforcing sector-wide architectural policies and procedures, driving consistency, compliance, and innovation
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance & In-Service Support Competency Centre, fostering a culture of innovation, professional development, and operational agility
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- experience in an IT-related role, ideally including substantial experience of the engineering platform support area
- Experience of systems analysis & design in a broad business environment including developing cost estimates/proposals for the IM&T components of bids
Desirable:
- Experience of design for and deployment/operation in overseas/export locations
- A proven ability to develop robust business cases which demonstrate realisable business benefits
