JOB TITLE: Senior Data Analyst

SALARY: £39,825 - £44,250
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
About this opportunity
The Personal Loans team is responsible for meeting the lending needs of over 1m customers across the UK. The loans business provides over £6bn in new lending each year, generating £650m income per annum, with strong growth this year and in plan going forward. The purpose of the Loans Commercial Performance team is to deliver our customer lending goals, with sustainable shareholder returns, and within our risk appetite.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Understand customer behaviour and commercial performance drivers to support delivery of the Loans customer and financial plans
- Provide and present concise, insightful performance analysis to senior stakeholders
- Your role will involve implementing data management, controls, and governance and ensuring effective oversight to minimise data risk.
- You will be a champion for change, finding opportunities to improve our existing data management capabilities or transform our current ways of working with data.
- Your role will involve collaboration with non-technical colleagues to understand data needs for Loans Commercial Pricing, Performance, and Reporting.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer demand and shape future Loans propositions based on deep customer and competitor insight
- Work effectively with wide range of key stakeholders (e.g., GB&M, Customer Insight, Finance, Group Transformation, Customer Propositions), and with our channels to ensure they support delivery of our commercial plans
What you'll need
- Proactive, self-starter with ability to self-organise, plan and prioritise activities given role variety
- Highly numerate and analytical, with great attention to detail
- Good understanding and interest in commercial drivers within a Financial Services environment
- Ability to translate customer & performance data into insights and provide recommendations clearly articulating the risks and benefits
- Results focused, a good communicator, and able to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- You are able to collect and integrate data from various different internal and external sources using coding languages such as VBA, SQL, Python, and SAS.
