What you will be doing:
As an intern in our Future Projects Office, you'll join either the Wing and Landing Gear Team or the Overall Aircraft Design Team. You'll work on the early stages of our projects, applying your skills across various disciplines to find the most optimal solutions for both wing and complete aircraft challenges.
You'll be part of a truly international team, collaborating with colleagues in the UK, France, Germany, and Spain. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you work with other engineering teams across the business. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the preliminary phase of aircraft design and understand its broader impact on our business.
Beyond your core tasks, you'll have the chance to get involved in initiatives that support your personal and professional development. This could include attending careers fairs, helping to organise site tours, or running STEM sessions to inspire the next generation of engineers in schools.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

As the successful candidate, we would want you to demonstrate the following;
For the duration of the internship, you must be an undergraduate and studying for an Engineering degree with a significant level of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering content;
Good written and verbal communication skills in English, coupled with good IT skills;
Be creative and have an open mind-set with a desire to explore and learn;
A keen interest in the aviation industry;
Motivated with the ability to manage own activities and work with a multi-skilled, transnational team;
A desire to help shape the future of aviation!
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
