Position’s Summary
About Business Developer (m/f/d)
As part of the expansion of our activities in France (aerospace and adjacent sectors), Testia is strengthening its commercial team.
Your role will be to prospect and develop a client portfolio, re-engage dormant accounts, and increase market share for our products and services (NDT, training, inspection, software), working closely with technical and marketing teams.
Your Tasks
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will contribute to profitable order intake and customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales cycle.
Business Development & Account Planning:
- Define and execute a strategy by segment (sector/territory/key accounts)
- Prospect and convert new customers, re-engage dormant accounts, and develop existing ones
- Diversify into new industrial sectors (e.g., defense and others)
Identify opportunities early to maximize wallet share and margins
- Manage the opportunity pipeline
- Build and execute account plans; conduct reviews and ensure reliable forecasting
Sales Cycle & Closing
- Qualify customer needs, build value propositions, prepare offers, negotiate, and close deal
- Coordinate internal contributions (technical, pricing, marketing, legal) and manage prospecting and proposal campaigns
- Ensure contractual execution on Testia’s side and monitor client obligations (deliverables, payments)
Customer Relationship & Representation
- Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Represent the voice of the customer internally, share market signals, and contribute to roadmaps
- Attend professional events/associations to promote Testia and its offerings
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain and update the CRM (contacts, opportunities, pipeline, meeting notes
- Provide analyses: segment/region volume, potential, growth areas
- Comply with company policies and regulations (T&Cs, trade compliance, ethics, HSE)
What we look for
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business/Engineering/Management (Bachelor's +5)
- 5 to 10 years of B2B sales experience in a technical/industrial environment, ideally in aerospace
- Understanding of complex sales cycles and large account purchasing processes
Skills
- Prospecting, qualification, offer creation, and negotiatio
- Proficient in Google Workspace / MS Office and CRM tools
- Ability to analyze needs and build ROI-focused value propositions
- Strong writing skills (proposals, reports, presentations)
- Strong Level in English
