About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the evolution of our fund operations capability. You will be a specialist operations point of contact for our Fund Managers and third-party service provider, Northern Trust. Providing technical knowledge, input, and operating model guidance to help implement the future of the HLFM fund range. In addition, supporting HL Fund Operations with elements of project work and responsible for the completion of process & system improvements.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for supporting the administration & operations of the HL funds, including the launch of further funds and products/services and any changes to existing funds.
- Facilitating international markets access for the HL funds.
- Responsible for implementation of operational processes in line with regulatory advice and obligations.
- Monitor KPIs & MI and provide advice to Fund Operations.
- Oversee regular checks on activities outsourced to Northern Trust, including supporting review assessments.
- Review changes to HL MM documents including prospectuses, contracts, and ensure they remain up to date.
- Rationalise & implement automated solutions to manual processes where efficiency and risk reduction can be demonstrated.
- Periodic systems & process reviews.
- Ensure relevant procedures are documented and up to date.
About you
- Awareness of appropriate regulatory sourcebooks and activities required to operate both UT's and OEIC's
- Knowledge of a range of asset types (equities, fixed income and derivatives) together with fund management structures (i.e. multi-manager).
- Confident user of industry typical systems and user-interfaces.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment.
- Product knowledge and regulatory awareness.
- Excellent organisation skills, with a good eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lead & motivate others.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Interview process
This will be a two-stage interview process. The interviews will consist of competency and behavioural based questions and an assessment task.
Working Schedule
The role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we currently offer flexibility with a mixture of home and office working.
