WHERE YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
You should feel excited by the prospect of making lasting positive impact to:
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Customer Journey Manager and Engineering teams to understand feature requirements, system behaviour and customer needs. Contribute to the design, configuration, integration and support of application components, ensuring they enable smooth product delivery without introducing unnecessary complexity.
- Support the engineering of stable, scalable, performant and secure application solutions by configuring endorsed technologies, applying common patterns and ensuring changes are well‑tested to minimise technical debt and operational risk.
- Participate in team ceremonies to build a clear understanding of upcoming work, commit to achievable goals, surface dependencies, escalate impediments appropriately and help the team manage operational and delivery priorities effectively.
- Contribute to the definition of application changes and configuration updates that are pragmatic, well‑understood and appropriately aligned to the target architecture, knowing when trade‑offs are acceptable to achieve the right outcome.
- Advance team effectiveness by participating in design discussions, building shared understanding of application behaviour, supporting code and configuration reviews, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, and helping to automate repetitive manual tasks where appropriate.
- Partner with peers, engineers and senior specialists to enhance shared capabilities across the domain by contributing to knowledge bases, documentation, application lifecycle improvements and the rollout of technical roadmaps. Promote consistent solutions and reuse to reduce complexity and avoid duplicative effort.
- Champion strong application custodianship by assisting with incident investigations, participating in root‑cause analysis and acting on learnings to improve reliability. Support the uplift of security, maintenance and resilience by identifying and helping to address compliance findings, waste, risks and gaps.
- Help build a strong team culture by supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge openly, contributing to technical interviews and helping to onboard new team members with confidence.
- Invest to develop your technical, operational and agile skills.

As part of the Group's commitments as a result of ring-fencing legislation, colleagues based in the Crown Dependencies are required to be exclusively dedicated to the non-ring-fenced bank and its subsidiaries. This means that colleagues who are based in the Crown Dependencies would not be able to undertake roles for the Ring-Fenced Bank from their existing location and would need to consider relocation when applying for roles.
