JOB TITLE: Manager, Marketing Analytics
SALARY: £72,702 – £80,780 per annum, plus excellent benefits
LOCATIONS: Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh, Chester
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
About the Role:
Join Lloyds Banking Group’s Marketing Effectiveness team within Customer Insights, Planning & Effectiveness in the Brands, Marketing & Experience (BMX) function.
We’re looking for an experienced experimentation and measurement specialist to help shape how we test, learn and optimise marketing activity across the customer journey. The primary focus of this role is experimentation design, with a close secondary focus on measuring targeted and 1:1 activity.
You’ll work across a range of experimentation approaches including geo-based tests, pre-post analysis, synthetic controls, brand lift studies and test-and-control designs. Rather than defaulting to a single method, you’ll bring the statistical judgement needed to select the right approach for each business question.
This is an end-to-end role - you’ll design experiments, analyse results, write them up clearly and share insights back with stakeholders to drive action.
What you’ll be doing
Design and deliver marketing experiments, selecting the most appropriate methodology based on the question, data and constraints
Lead experimentation across ATL activity (e.g. geo-tests, pre-post analysis, synthetic controls, brand lift studies)
Design test-and-control approaches for 1:1 activity (e.g. email, app and internet banking), including holdout and fallow groups
Conduct MDE and power calculations to assess feasibility, sample sizes and test duration
Monitor in-flight tests and resolve issues in collaboration with marketing, media and data teams
Analyse results with statistical rigour, isolating true incremental impact
Produce clear written experiment read-outs and present findings with actionable recommendations
Where relevant, triangulate results with other measurement approaches such as MMM, MTA or platform uplift studies
Share learnings to improve future test design and decision-making
Why join us?
From building a truly sustainable business to creating a place where people love to work, we’re looking for colleagues who are up for the challenge, who love to push boundaries and can make change happen. Sound like you?
What we’re looking for?
Experience in an experimentation, analytics or measurement role within a marketing or commercial environment
Strong capability in experimental design and statistical testing
Experience using a range of experimentation techniques, not just geo-based testing
Understanding of ATL experimentation methods and 1:1 test-and-control approaches
Confidence choosing the right measurement approach for different problems
Experience writing up results and communicating insights clearly to stakeholders
Strong communication skills and a focus on driving measurable business outcomes
And any experience of these would be great
