The Government Digital Service (GDS), part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, is hiring a Head of Strategy and Policy.
About the role
You’ll sit at the centre of the GOV.UK directorate, working closely with senior leaders to shape the strategy, direction and future of a service used across the UK.
Leading a multidisciplinary team, you’ll influence how GOV.UK evolves across web, app, social and emerging channels, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of users and government at scale.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the overall strategy for GOV.UK, turning long‑term vision into clear, deliverable plans
- Working with senior stakeholders to align priorities and secure investment
- Shaping how success is measured, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement
- Evolving the GOV.UK proposition into a truly multi‑channel service
- Building strong relationships across government to influence decisions at the highest level
- Leading and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team
