About this opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and analytically minded Analytics & Statistics Manager to join our Savings Commercial Performance & Pricing team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Savings forecasting and pricing capabilities, developing models, insights and tools that support key commercial and pricing decisions.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit and tweak what already exists. You’ll have the opportunity to build new capability, bring your own ideas and take real ownership of how our forecasting and analytics evolve. Working across Pricing, Commercial Performance, Finance and Analytics, you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to better understand customer behaviour, market dynamics and business performance.
You’ll also explore new forecasting, pricing and analytical tools, finding smarter ways to automate processes, improve efficiency and strengthen decision making. It’s a chance to build something new and see your work directly influence real-world commercial decisions across our Savings business.
What you'll be doing
- Develop, maintain and enhance Savings forecasting models that support balance, proposition, income and pricing decisions.
- Perform forecasting, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support business planning and commercial decision making.
- Translate business assumptions, pricing actions and market insights into forecasting models and analytical outputs.
- Support the development of forecasting methodologies that improve accuracy and transparency.
- Seek opportunities to automate forecasting processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new forecasting and analytics tools.
- Analyse customer, market and competitor trends to improve understanding of future performance.
- Produce clear, concise and actionable insight for stakeholders across Commercial, Pricing, Finance and Product teams.
- Build strong relationships across the business to ensure analytical outputs support commercial objectives.
- Support forecasting governance, controls and continuous improvement activity.
What you'll need:
- Experience in forecasting, analytics, modelling or data science within Financial Services or a similar analytical environment.
- Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, time-series analysis and quantitative modelling.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Ability to translate business questions and assumptions into analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Extensive experience with Statistical modelling and analytical techniques.
- Experience with time series, regression and driver modelling.
- Experience with scenario & sensitivity analysis.
- Coding capability in SQL and either Python or R.
- Highly skilled in both Excel and VBA
- Data visualisation and insight storytelling.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with the financial services sector, ideally in retail banking, savings or pricing experience.
- Experience developing forecasting, scenario-planning or customer behaviour models.
- Experience supporting analytical tool development and automation initiatives.
- Understanding of competitor, customer and market analysis.
- Power BI or equivalent visualisation tools.
