Job Title: Senior Online Surveyor
Location: Offshore - Remote UK
Salary: Highly Competitive with 150 days paid guaranteed
As a Senior Online Surveyor, you’ll operate hull-mounted and towed survey sensors aboard advanced survey vessels, delivering high-precision data for offshore wind projects. Collaborate closely with software developers to drive innovation and automation in hydrographic and geophysical surveying, revolutionizing processes in the renewable energy sector.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide technical experience and support to the wider Survey team.
- Responsible for the Online Survey equipment and software, ensuring it is operational for data acquisition and surveillance.
- Preparation, installation and calibration of survey equipment during mobilisations and demobilisations.
- Ensure acquisition logs are maintained and reporting templates and other appropriate documentation are utilised.
- Ensure quality control and assurance is performed on all survey data acquired.
- Understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives.
- Assist projects to be completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with line planning and other project preparations.
- Work closely with the Survey Delivery Team on project deliverables.
- Assist Survey Delivery Team in maintaining up-to-date departmental documentation.
- Assist writing mobilisation reports, field memos and field reports as required.
You should apply if you have:
Essential:
- A solid understanding of survey principles and marine survey techniques
- Previous experience as a Surveyor (IMCA Grade 1)
- Experience of Hydrographic / Geophysical Survey mobilisation and data acquisition
- Experience with USBL calibrations
- Operational experience of MBES, INS, USBL, GNSS, SSS, Mag and SBP equipment
- Understanding of UXO target ID, Inspection, pipeline, cable DOB and site surveys
- Interest in innovative and disruptive survey technology
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Operational familiarity with Qinsy
Desirable:
- Relevant experience as a Senior Surveyor
- Understanding of Survey Data Processing
- Experience in writing reports for survey activities
- Experience with NaviScan
- Experience with Line planning
- CAD experience
