Job description
As a Technical Architect you will proactively and holistically lead and support activities that develop and maintain Technical Reference Architectures and patterns used to ensure solutions and services fit into the broader strategy for Defence and wider government. Working alongside other technical specialists, you will lead activities supporting the technical direction, target architectures, roadmaps, policies and standards which drive coherence and align with Defence’s evolving strategies.
You will be responsible for building a technical understanding of Defence’s diverse Connectivity ecosystem, which includes Networking Infrastructure, Gateways and PKI and edge computing. You will also explore the benefits of NATO federated and cross-government alignment of systems and services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical solutions that meet requirements whilst providing relevant Technical govermance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance technology infrastructure.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Keep yourself in the loop with cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and best practice industry standards
- Contribute to the development of technical standards and policies.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
