About the role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join HL as a Risk and Compliance Training Manager. The purpose of this role is to design and deliver HL's risk and compliance training activities across the Group, working closely with colleagues from Risk, Compliance, the Learning & Development team and Subject Matter Experts. You will be designing, developing and implementing training programs that enhance awareness, understanding and application of risk and compliance, working to enhance HL's risk and compliance maturity across the Group.
What you’ll be doing
- Contributing towards the development and maintenance of a training needs assessment, designed to identify compliance and risk focused priorities for training.
- Delivering components of the Risk & Compliance Training Plan on time and to budget.
- Engaging with appropriate stakeholders when preparing, delivering and closing training activities.
- Establishing appropriate learning objectives for each topic, designing appropriate content and preparing supporting materials.
- Delivering engaging training to appropriate audiences using methods appropriate to the size and nature of the audience.
- Maintaining records of attendance and training effectiveness, producing MI on training effectiveness and delivery of the plan.
- Liaising and coordinating with other training related SMEs across the Group to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
- Maintaining ongoing competence through continual professional development and learning.
About you
- Prior experience working within a training function, ideally within Financial Services, or in the education sector.
- Experience designing different types of training according to whether the objective is awareness, understanding or application of subject matter.
- Experience delivering training to a variety of audiences, levels of capability and levels of seniority.
- Ability to synthesis complex risk and compliance subjects into engaging, easy to understand training materials for non-experts.
- Comfortable delivering training in a classroom and online setting to large and small groups.
Interview process
This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural questions and an assessment task.
Working Schedule
We are based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
