About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our central GCRO (Group Chief Risk Officer) team in the role of Risk Reporting Manager. You will manage the current risk reporting process for the Second Line of Defence function within Risk and Compliance by reviewing existing reporting processes, data sources and capabilities.
You will operate autonomously and will be responsible for enhancing the current reporting capability through the development of new reports, automation and utilisation of golden source data (e.g. MetricStream) to provide improved data insights for senior management within second line and HL. You will also have line management responsibility for a Risk Reporting Analyst.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the enhancement of existing reporting capabilities; including identify, define, develop, test, implement, and embed new reporting requirements including reporting to various governance committees.
- Responsible for defining, implementing, and embedding risk reporting standards and associated guidance for second line and wider business.
- Support the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) and the Risk & Compliance Senior Management team through each reporting cycle.
- Define, build and implement reporting dashboard(s) and KPIs to improve existing reporting processes and identify deficiencies within the current process.
- Complete initial draft of standard Risk reports including draft briefing notes for non-standard paper(s).
- Lead the Risk Management capability assessment including data collation, assessment of materials and associated report preparation.
- Lead the reporting delivery requirements as part of second line change delivery.
- Define, implement and embed the Risk Reporting service catalogue to provide associated reporting service capability.
- Manage a Risk Reporting Analyst to support and enhance reporting capability and GCRO Office capacity resilience.
About you
- Experience of working in a commercial Financial Services organisation
- Significant experience working with all levels of stakeholders.
- Understanding of key risk and compliance topics and frameworks, to support senior management in completing committee reporting.
- Proven experience of enhancing reporting processes such as efficiencies in report drafting/compilation, QA of reports produced, automating report production.
- Highly proficient using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proven experience of managing people, including directing, coaching and supervising small teams.
- Accomplished in delivering insightful data analysis.
- Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease.
- Regularly looking to continually improve your own, and the wider team’s performance, actively promoting change and continuous improvement.
Interview process
This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural based questions and a task.
Working Schedule
This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
