Our purpose is to make it easy for people to save and invest for a better future. We are looking for great people to join us, so please come and invest in YOUR future at Hargreaves Lansdown.
We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they don't tick every box. If you're excited about working for us and have most of the skills or experience we're looking for, please go ahead and apply. We’d love to hear from you!
About the role
Build the engine that proves marketing drives growth.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, technically strong marketing analytics leader to build and own our end-to-end marketing measurement capability.
This is not just a reporting role. This is a strategic role, reporting directly to the Marketing Director, responsible for designing the frameworks, models, and data foundations that show, with clarity and credibility, how marketing drives incremental commercial performance.
You will partner closely with Marketing, Data, Finance, and Commercial teams to create a single, trusted view of performance across brand, content, performance marketing, web and CRO, and CRM.
If you’re excited by building measurement infrastructure from scratch, influencing budget allocation decisions, and moving a business from channel metrics to true incrementality, this role is for you.
What you’ll be doing
Marketing measurement strategy:
- Designing and implementing our overarching marketing performance framework.
- Defining KPIs, measurement principles, and governance standards.
- Aligning marketing metrics to commercial and financial outcomes.
Attribution and incrementality:
- Leading and evolving last-touch and multi-touch attribution approaches.
- Designing incrementality testing (holdouts, geo tests, lift studies).
- Building a roadmap toward robust Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).
- Ensuring measurement moves beyond platform-reported metrics.
Econometrics and advanced modelling:
- Partnering with data science to develop econometric and forecasting models.
- Enabling scenario planning and budget optimisation.
- Providing clear recommendations for investment allocation.
Data integrity and infrastructure:
- Mapping all marketing-relevant data sources across platforms, CRM, web, and revenue systems.
- Defining tracking standards and measurement parameters.
- Implementing quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborating with data engineering to create a scalable marketing data layer.
Insight and executive influence:
- Building reporting that shifts the conversation from “ROAS by channel” to “incremental commercial impact.”
- Translating complex statistical outputs into clear strategic narratives.
- Influencing senior stakeholders on investment and growth decisions.
- Building and leading a high-performing marketing analytics capability over time.
About you
You’ll likely bring:
- Significant experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or marketing science.
- Experience building attribution frameworks and/or MMM models.
- Strong understanding of incrementality testing, propensity modelling and customer-level modelling.
- Experience working closely with data engineering and BI teams.
- Strong SQL skills (Python/R advantageous).
- Experience supporting multi-channel marketing teams at scale.
- A commercially minded approach: you care about growth, not just dashboards.
Most importantly, you’re a builder.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity.
You can challenge marketing narratives with evidence.
And you know how to turn data into decisions.
Interview process
This will be a two-stage process including technical and leadership competency questions and a task.
