Job title:Lead IQA Practitioner

Salary: £47,596+ dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage the IQA process, ensuring efficient claims and sign-offs, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and identifying opportunities to enhance assessment quality and compliance.
- Assess and monitor learner progress and performance of a small group of learners in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence.
- Provide support and guidance to Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) to deliver IQA plan and ensuring the team stay updated on policy changes, best practices, and procedural updates.
- Prepare for and host External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits, ensuring all documentation and evidence is readily available and that the process runs smoothly.
- Prepare reports on the progress of learners and the effectiveness of the assessment processes for senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of developments in the field of education and assessment to ensure best practices are implemented within the organisation, whilst seeking feedback internally from learners and assessors to identify improvements in the assessment process.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge of assessment processes, End-Point Assessments (EPA), and Internal/External Quality Assurance (IQA/EQA) requirements
- Proven experience of working with internal and external quality assurance and funding regulations
- Proven experience in a complex administrative environment
- TAQA Level 4 (IQA) qualification or equivalent and experience of undertaking IQA activities at Level 4

The Early Careers & Skills Team:
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Lead IQA to join our Early Careers and Skills (EC&S) team. In this pivotal role, you will drive quality and consistency across our apprenticeship and skills programmes, ensuring high standards of assessment and quality assurance are embedded throughout the learner journey (including regulated qualifications and end point assessment activity).
You’ll work closely with delivery teams and key stakeholders to lead on quality assurance processes, support continuous improvement, and contribute to the development of outstanding programmes.
