JOB TITLE: Cost Business Partner for Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking
SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £65,385 to £72,650
LOCATION: Bristol or Edinburgh
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Our Business Partners are Group Finance’s front line into the business. They think strategically and are trusted advisors to the group and its leadership teams. Business Partners provide challenge and insight and champion a culture of curiosity in order to truly understand the businesses they're supporting.
What will I be doing?
The team focus is on insight and analysis, engaging across multiple teams, providing outputs for management decision making. Working collaboratively, building and maintaining strong working relationships across Finance, Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking businesses and embracing Grow With Purpose are all key attributes.
Evolving role within team, with job rotation opportunities for fresh challenges and exposure.
We present key messages, ranging from monthly management reports to 4YOP playbacks to our senior stakeholders, ensuring that the story and challenges are well understood and explained in a way that is relevant to the business.
We support and challenge the business to prepare robust regular forecasts including group-level quarterly forecast and Operating Plans with well-understood risks and opportunities.
Working with others to develop and provide high quality financial and commercial insight to support the business in effective strategic decision making. Take on the role of the key Finance contact and trusted advisor for the business and its leadership teams in the Division.

What you’ll need
Strong business partnering skills with experience of driving cost improvement.
Analytical and problem-solving capability, applied within a financial environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to develop a broad network across the organisation and collaborate to achieve goals.
Strong Excel skills is critical, with experience of IBM PAX, and applications such as Power BI also desirable.
A financial qualification or equivalent commercial experience/knowledge.
