12 Month Fixed Term Contract
We're looking for a talented IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in Bristol on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
If you're someone who loves solving problems, thrives on variety, and enjoys being the go-to person for keeping systems running at their best, you'll feel right at home here. This is your chance to work in a forward-thinking law firm where technology underpins everything we do from supporting our people to delivering great outcomes for our clients.
About The Role
You'll take ownership of our core IT infrastructure, making sure everything is secure, stable, and performing at its best. That includes managing Windows Servers (2012–2022), VMware vSphere, backup and disaster recovery tools like Veeam and Zerto, and a range of other enterprise systems that keep the firm running.
You'll get involved in exciting infrastructure projects that support the firm's growth and innovation, whether that's enhancing our virtual environments, improving resilience, or introducing smarter ways of working.
You'll handle escalations from the support team, work closely with colleagues across the business, and have plenty of opportunities to put your ideas into action. There'll be some out-of-hours work for planned maintenance and you'll join the on-call rota (one week per month).
Please note this is a 12 month contract.
About You
You'll have solid experience in an IT infrastructure role, ideally in a professional services or enterprise setting, and be confident managing Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365.
You'll know your way around networks, backups, and security, and you'll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities. Experience with Azure, Endpoint Manager, or PowerShell scripting would be a real plus and if you've worked with Citrix or iManage, even better.
But beyond the tech skills, you'll be someone who brings energy, curiosity, and a genuine passion for making systems work better for people.
For more details of the essential and desirable skills we're looking for, have a read of the attached job description.
