What you’ll be doing
As a User Researcher, you’ll:
- Plan and run end‑to‑end user research, from design to insight
- Use a range of qualitative and quantitative methods
- Work closely with product managers, designers and developers
- Ensure research insights directly inform product and service decisions
- Advocate for users while balancing policy, technology and delivery needs
- Clearly communicate findings through strong storytelling
- Continuously improve how research is delivered, shared and reused
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need government experience. We’re looking for people who:
- Have experience using established user research methods
- Can turn research findings into clear, actionable insights
- Enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams
- Design inclusive research that reflects diverse user needs
- Understand accessibility, user‑centred design and ethical research
- Are reflective, curious and keen to continually improve their practice
