Location: Swansea
As a Lead Product Manager, you’ll oversee a portfolio of technical products that support critical DVLA services. You’ll bring together teams, set direction, and ensure products deliver real value, balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day delivery.
Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping how products evolve, improving services used by millions, and driving meaningful change across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading a portfolio of digital products, setting direction and priorities
- Defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to organisational goals
- Managing complex delivery across multiple teams and product areas
- Driving agile and lean delivery, ensuring quality, value, and impact
- Overseeing product performance, using KPIs and data to guide improvements
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align priorities and expectations
- Managing incidents, technical debt, and continuous product improvements
- Leading and mentoring Product Managers, building strong, high-performing teams
- Supporting recruitment, capability development, and product community growth
What we’re looking for

- Proven ability to set strategy, manage roadmaps, and drive delivery at pace
- Experience working in agile environments and delivering digital transformation
- Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring teams
- Commercial awareness, including budgeting and resource planning
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance competing priorities
