At the RAC, we are on a mission to transform roadside mobility and fleet support for the UK’s leading businesses and vehicle manufacturers. We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and commercially astute Head of OEM & Fleet to lead our Fleet & OEM sector within our Business Roadside Division, contributing over £150 million in annual revenue.
This is a critical senior leadership role, responsible for defining and delivering our Fleet & OEM strategy, shaping industry-leading propositions, and driving significant growth across a rapidly evolving market.
As Head of OEM & Fleet, you will:
- Own and lead the Fleet & OEM roadside proposition across the RAC Business Roadside Division.
- Be the go-to expert and advocate for Fleet & OEM within RAC, influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute growth strategies – short, medium and long-term – across acquisition, retention, cross-sell and post-breakdown SMR opportunities.
- Take accountability for the financial success of the sector, driving growth across £79m Fleet and £75m OEM revenue streams.
- Lead structured approaches to partnerships – from SMEs to strategic OEMs – to create compelling, differentiated propositions.
- Champion governance, compliance and SM&CR responsibilities under Section 66A FSMA 2000, ensuring a strong control environment.
- Partner with the CEO and wider leadership team to define RAC’s unique value proposition to Fleet and OEM customers.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of the Fleet & OEM strategy and financial performance
- Identify and convert new partner opportunities and increase post-breakdown SMR penetration
- Manage and grow strategic partnerships, from inception through to performance optimisation
- Deliver best-in-class propositions tailored by customer cohort and market need
- Lead business planning, forecasting and commercial performance management
- Represent RAC externally with OEM, Fleet and industry stakeholders, building trust and growth
- Shape and lead a high performing, engaged and commercially focused team
- Lead transformational change to align structure, capability and delivery to strategy
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Expertise:
- Senior-level/Board experience in the Fleet and/or OEM sector
- Proven track record of sector growth, SMR penetration, and strategic partnerships
- Deep understanding of how Fleet & OEM clients procure and manage roadside services
- Experience navigating complex commercial negotiations and multi-stakeholder environments
- Demonstrable leadership in compliance, governance and SM&CR responsibilities

Education:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
- MBA or equivalent senior management qualification preferred
