SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £78,098 - £91,880
LOCATION: Any of our main hubs outside London (Leeds, Bristol, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff/Newport, Chester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Halifax, Hove)
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
As the Senior Strategic & Commercial Planning Manager, you'll sit at the heart of what we do. You’ll be responsible for working across multiple functions, collaborators and teams as well as alongside other business partners, to capture the divisional impacts of the CR business plans, strategy and resourcing approaches. This role plays a pivotal role in supporting the bank’s vision to deliver exceptional service to its customers whilst remaining both efficient and effective within its direction and shape.
You’ll lead the consolidation and reporting of strategic plans, commercial models, and resource allocations, ensuring that the Consumer Relationships division’s objectives are clearly articulated and aligned with the bank’s broader strategy.
What will I be doing?
Exec storytelling, ensuring data and messaging is consistent, and tells a clear story on Consumer Relationships’ customer, colleague and commercial performance
Building and maintaining high-profile relationships with key team members, you’ll ensure robust reporting and across the division
Lead on consolidating quarterly forecast / budget outputs (FTE and service metrics), through utilising SMEs in the planning and finance teams. Ensure full join-up and interlock with team and wider partners
Working closely with Strategic Workforce plans to ensure organisational efficiency and an optimised resourcing strategy, alongside helping to shape divisionally approved and interlocked principles
Work effectively across collaborators to optimise the divisions strategic supply solutions, exploring all levers against workforce planning principles and focus
Identifying inconsistencies in planning assumptions / data, challenging where required, and ensuring all risks / opportunities are clearly articulated
Drive continuous improvement in planning and commercial processes, proactively finding opportunities for efficiency and growth, and providing insightful analysis to support senior decision-making
Managing a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive trust based environment alongside setting clear expectations and performance standards.

What you’ll need
Knowledge of the Consumer Relationship business objectives, strategy and vision for the future
Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
Awareness of Strategic supply levers and business case management
Analytical approach; able to assimilate data and deliver clear and concise insights
Thoughtful analysis; proficient in using data to identify risks and opportunities and making valuable contributions to the strategic plans of the team.
Enjoys problem-solving; can help to create options and answers where they don’t currently exist
A great relationship builder; comfortable engaging and challenging status quo at all levels
Proven track record of managing and driving activity through high performing teams, along with providing coaching, feedback and development
Comfortable self-managing workload and multiple priorities
