What you’ll be doing:
- Provide specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the build, test and operation of SIM/STIM test rig capabilities
- Provide management and leadership of AVC Test Team and maintaining a safe operating environment
- Produce and manage complex systems testing schedules across multiple facilities and capabilities and locations
- Responsible for the creation, management and delivery of test Instructions, reports, procedures and test evidence to satisfy the AVC test and qualification plans
- Ensure Facility and Rig compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation
- Act as the site liaison with suppliers and AVC One with regards to the AVC Test capabilities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM-related subject
- Significant knowledge in SIM/STIM – Test process and practices in complex software-intensive systems in the defence, maritime, or closely linked industry
- A working understanding of Test environments, Qualification evidence and SHE
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management
Desirable:
- MSc in an Engineering or STEM-related subject
- Submarines domain knowledge
- Chartered Engineer

The AVC Systems Team:
You will be part of the AVC team that are responsible for the design, build, commissioning and operation of multiple testing capabilities and facilities. These capabilities will prove the operation and performance of the AVC systems that control submarine platform manoeuvrability. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
