Salary: £35,802-£39500 Dependent of skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment
- Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to endure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
- Responsible for research, review & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard
- Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
- To represent the Company on Factory Acceptance Tests and other outworking requirements
- Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Control of Works and Safe System of Work knowledge
- Testing & Commissioning of air & fluid pipework systems, e.g. air, water, steam, fuel
- Ability to conduct Mechanical System inspections and approve documentation
- HNC/HND or equivalent in related discipline or STEM subject AND Experience
Desirable
- Knowledge of SAP, Windchill
- Previous Boiler Plant knowledge is desirable
- An understanding of COMAH, PSSR & Environmental regulations

The SMITE Facility Commissioning Team:
Join our team and play a critical role in commissioning. As part of a dynamic six-person team, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) teams, Site & Facilities, Maintenance, Project Teams, Build Delivery, and 3rd-party assurance inspectors.
This role offers a clear path for career growth, with opportunities for development into a Principal Commissioning Engineer. External training is available to support your professional advancement.
We also provide relocation support for all submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
