WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days per week) in one of our office hubs mentioned above. Our Transport hubs are Manchester and Newport but regular travel will be required.

We have an exciting opportunity for aNational Sales Managerto lead ourOEM Partnershipsteam within Consumer Distribution in our Transport business.
This role is responsible for theleadership, performance and development of a national account management team, each managing regional or national OEM retailer portfolios. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering sales growth, profitability, customer outcomes and regulatory excellence across the Transport business.
Through ourBlack Horse and Lex Autolease brands, we support the UK’s transition to Net Zero by enabling consumers and businesses to finance and lease vehicles through our OEM and dealer partners. Our ambition is to evolve beyond Finance and Leasing to become a market leader in Transport in the UK — and this role is central to making that happen.

You’ll be responsible for
Leading, coaching and performance‑managing anational team of Account Managers and Internal Account Managers, ensuring consistent delivery of sales, customer and conduct outcomes across the OEM network of retailers.
Owning thenational OEM sales strategy, translating strategic objectives into clear plans, priorities and measures for Account Managers.
Driving growth and profitability across consumer lending products includingPCP, HP and Contract Hire, through effective portfolio and pipeline management.
Acting as the senior escalation point forkey OEM and strategic dealer group relationships, supporting Account Managers with complex negotiations and issues.
Embedding a strongconduct, regulatory and risk cultureacross the team, ensuring adherence to Wholesale Lending, Intermediary Conduct Risk and Group Conduct Strategy.
Working closely with Distribution leadership, Product, Credit, Risk, Operations and Platform teams to deliver integrated propositions and digital initiatives.
Day to day you’ll
Lead regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and talent development conversations with Account Managers to drive productivity, capability and engagement.
Set clear expectations and critical metrics for the Account Manager team, using MI and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
Support Account Managers in deliveringBusiness Performance Reviewswith retailers and dealer groups, ensuring robust action planning and follow‑through.
Oversee the delivery of national sales initiatives, campaigns and digital integrations across OEM and dealer networks.
Ensure customer complaints and critical issues are handled effectively, fairly and in line with Treating Customers Fairly principles.
Champion continuous improvement, transformation and change initiatives across the Distribution channel.
Build strong senior‑level relationships with the OEM, dealer principals and internal partners, acting as a trusted partner and brand ambassador.
What you’ll need
Strong senior leadership capability, with experience leading and developingfield‑based sales or account management teams
Proven ability to translate strategy into execution through others, driving consistent outcomes at scale
Excellent communication, influencing and partner management skills, including engagement at OEM and senior dealer level
Strong commercial and financial skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and drive corrective action
A robust understanding ofrisk, conduct and regulatory environments, with experience embedding these standards through teams
The confidence to challenge constructively, make balanced decisions, and lead through change
And any experience of these would be really useful
Working knowledge of theautomotive sector, including OEM and dealer operating models
Experience managing or overseeingWholesale Lending portfolios
Experience leading through business transformation, digital change or new proposition delivery
A background in customer‑centric sales environments with a strong conduct and compliance focus
